The Draft VI National Report on the Aarhus Convention Implementation

We would like to inform you that the 2017-2020 sixth national report is being prepared regarding ‘’Accessibility on environmental information issues, society involvement when making decisions and about accessibility in the field of justice issues. ( Aarhus Convention) 

If you have comments on the Sixth National Report on the Implementation of the Aarhus Convention, please submit your comments by November 5 to the Head of the Secondary Unit Structure of the Sustainable Development Division of the Department of the Environment and Climate Change, of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia. Nino.gokhelashvili@mepa.gov.ge and the LEPL eiec can be reached at info@eiec.gov.ge.''In order for the comments to be properly reflected by the public, please indicate the chapter, paragraph, and subsection, related to your information you are sharing and/or the reason behind the comment relates.

The information received from the public will be discussed within the competence of the relevant agencies, followed by a public hearing on the draft National Report on the Implementation of the Sixth Aarhus Convention. Information about the public hearing will be announced later. The deadline for the submission of reports by the States Parties to the Aarhus Convention is January 1, 2021.

We note that international, regional, and non-governmental organizations have the opportunity to prepare reports on the implementation of the Aarhus Convention, their programs and activities, as well as existing experience, and send them to the following e-mail address: aarhus.survey@un.org.
