Green Award for Best Educator or Methodologist

At the initiative of the Eiec  of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, in 2015, an amendment to the state standard of school readiness was introduced to strengthen the teaching of the environmental component in preschool education, as responsible for In terms of sustainable development.

That is why the Eiec , in cooperation with the Tbilisi Kindergarten Management Agency, has been implementing the textbook "Preschool Environmental Education" in kindergartens since 2016, for which representatives of all kindergartens in Tbilisi have been trained. The training process is still going on, and this time the manual is being introduced in the region of Kakheti. 

In order to share the results achieved in this direction and increase the motivation of educators and Methodists, the Center for Environmental Information and Education establishes a "Green Award" to identify the best educator or Methodist.

The contest will be held on the first stage among the kindergartens of Tbilisi, and after the introduction of the textbook throughout the country, educators-methodologists from different regions will take part in it.

The competition is open to all methodologists or educators who use the "Preschool Environmental Education" textbook in practice.

To participate in the contest, you must fill out an application form and attach photos / videos of your activities and a description of the event program (in one folder). 

The contest will be held in two stages:
In the first stage, the submitted applications will be reviewed and selected;
The candidates selected in the second stage represent a single environmental activity.


The winner will be announced by a commission composed of competent people after summarizing the results of both stages. The competition will end with a ceremonial award.
