EIEC is announcing the ‘’Green Award'’ contest

EIEC is announcing the ‘’Green Award’’ contest to identify the best educator/methodologist and primary level teachers (grades 1-6) throughout Georgia for the 2022-2023 academic year.

The "Green Award" contest is open to any elementary-level teacher and kindergarten educator/methodologist, currently employed in educational institutions, teaching environmental or agricultural topics in both formal and non-formal education, and conducting activities from the relevant supporting manuals, "Environmental and Agrarian Education at School" and "Preschool Environmental Education".

The contest aims to increase the motivation of teachers to teach environmental and agricultural topics and give them an opportunity to share their best experiences. The deadline for receiving applications is March 20, 2023.

The winner will be revealed on June 5 on World Environment Day

The contest will be held in two stages:

⮚       Stage   I - Selection of the statement
⮚       Stage II -The presentation of conducted activities or projects

According to the results of both stages, a special commission will identify the top ten, from which the winning teacher and educator/methodologist will be awarded a "green award".

To enter the contest, complete the online application (in Word format) and, if you'd like, add a photo or video of your participation (in one folder). The video shouldn't be more than 10 minutes.

You can send the contest materials via email to education@eiec.gov.ge

Please indicate "Green Award - Primary School Teachers" or "Green Award - Preschool Environmental Education "In the subject line of your email.

An online open day will be held for educators and Methodologists, in order to disseminate information about the contest and familiarise themselves with the specifics.
