Public discussion of the draft law "On Living Genetically Modified Organisms"

We would like to inform you that the public discussion scheduled for March 6, 2023, at 15:00 p.m, regarding the draft law on amendments to the Law of Georgia "On Living Genetically Modified Organisms," has been postponed due to the need for additional consultations with interested parties.

The amendments envisaged by the draft law imply the admissibility of the import and re-export of live genetically modified organisms for the purpose of processing them into animal feed for the development and promotion of new economic activities.
