According to the Georgian Law ‘’on Aquaculture," in order to implement aquaculture activities within the marine space, the National Environment Agency of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia is submitting the project of zones located for aquaculture within the marine space.
The development of the project of allocated areas for aquaculture was carried out with the support of the European Union and the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
Anyone with an interest in public debate has the right to introduce notes and opinions.
The comments and notes regarding the zones need to be submitted to the National Environment Agency of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia by March 20, 2023. The address is Agmashenebeli Avenue, N150, or you can send an email to info@nea.gov.ge.
