Registration for the professional training program "Environmental Manager" is possible until August 25

Who can take part in the program?
• Interested persons who wish to study in detail the responsibilities of an environmental manager under the Waste Management Code and acquire the necessary skills

• Employees of individuals and legal entities who are employed in companies or enterprises that generate different types of waste and are obliged to develop and implement waste management plans

What will we learn within the "Environmental Manager" program?
The objective of the program is to train environmental managers who will implement the Waste Management Code and its obligations, inspection procedures, and law enforcement.

After completing the Environmental Manager course, participants will be able to:
• Preparing and updating the company's waste management plan
• Waste classification
• Working in the electronic waste management system
• Implementation and organization of the company's waste management plan
• Implementation of self-monitoring and internal control of the company

The tuition fee for the program is 700 GEL.

Registration places for the program are limited, and 25 places have been announced. Accordingly, in the event of a competition, the registered applicants will be interviewed. The selection criteria will be announced before the interview.

The training process starts on September 11. The duration of the program is four weeks.

Upon successful completion, graduates will receive a state-recognized certificate.

• Kristine Vardanashvili, Head of the Waste Management Division of the Waste and Chemical Substances Management Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia
• Tamar Tshekladze, senior specialist for extended producer responsibilities in the waste and chemical substances management department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia
