Training course for the employees of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia (MEPA) organized by the Environmental Information and Education Centre (EIEC) and supported by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) continues. Trainings for the employees of the State Laboratory of Agriculture and the National Food Agency were led by Turkish experts who introduced modern approaches to Georgian colleagues.
2019-2020 years were proclaimed as years of agriculture by TIKA, and the agency actively continues to work for improving the qualification of the employees of MEPA.
The cooperation between TIKA and MEPA started last year. In 2019, 40 representatives were trained in Turkey and Georgia. Currently, trainings are conducted in an online format because of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
