Tamar Aladashvili, Director of the LEPL EIEC of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, visited the public school in the village of Galavani, Mtskheta Municipality, which was awarded by the centre the title of "Favourite School" 2019 the NikoKetskhoveli.
The EIEC set up a "Green Corner" within the school, complete with environmental literature, where students and members of the Eco Club can gather, talk, and use material for environmental activities. The collaboration between the EIEC and the Galavani Public School Eco Club will continue in the future to promote environmental education, with the goal of providing the general public with reliable and comprehensive information on key environmental concerns.
The School Environmental Competition-Niko Ketskhoveli School Award-has been held by CENN since 2015, with financial support from Austria for Development Cooperation. The co-organizers of the competition are the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, and the Parliament of Georgia.
