Awarding the best teacher

The 2019 "Best Teacher" contest was held to popularise the teaching profession, identify successful pedagogical practices, and present the best teachers to the public.

Mariam Matiashvili, Deputy Director of the LEPL EIEC of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, attended the award ceremony ''for the best teachers in history, geography, and civic education. Mariam Matiashvili congratulated the best geography teacher who won the contest on behalf of the EIEC and presented the award.

At the initiative of the National Centre for Teacher Professional Development, the contest  "Best Teacher" is held annually and senior, leading, and mentor teachers of all subjects in public and private schools in Georgia can participate in the competition, regardless of age and pedagogical experience.
