Legal Entity of Public Law - Environmental Information and Education Centre of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia continues an informational campaign that intends to hold trainings ,, Environmental Democracy - human rights and responsibilities’’ in the whole country.
Within the campaign, head of the Education Projects Service of the centre Lasha Lobjanidze visited the Bulachauri’s Green Camp organized by CENN where he met the participant students of the Ecocamp with the representatives of the centre and spoke to them about the implementation of the responsibilities imposed by the Aarhus Convention and the role of human environmental rights and accessibility on the environmental information.
The above-mentioned trainings aim to facilitate the implementation of the obligations under the Aarhus Convention. The Aarhus Convention which Georgia joined in 2001, obliges the signatory countries to ensure access to environmental information, public participation in the decision-making process and access to justice in this field.
