Teaching process in the School of Eco-leaders has begun

In the “Eco-leaders School” of the Environmental Information and Education Centre (EIEC) of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, the teaching process has begun.

The Director of EIEC opened an educational course and underlined the opportunities for school participants to deepen their knowledge in the field of environment through modern teaching methods, learn about existing challenges and responsive actions in the field, find partners and carry out interesting projects with them, be actively involved in the future activities of EIEC.

Participants of the School of Eco-leaders have been selected based on the competition results. Within the framework of the course, online meetings and seminars will be held for three weeks. Eco-leaders, with the help of qualified professionals, will learn about modern challenges of our planet and discuss different ways to solve problems, gain knowledge on various environmental issues, develop critical thinking, self-defense and group work skills.

Eco-leaders School is an educational program launched by EIEC that aims to teach the young generation environmental issues and raise their awareness in this field.

At the end of the Eco-leaders School, the participants will be aware of the role of biodiversity and mechanisms for its protection, will have theoretical knowledge and practical experience in planning and carrying out environmental campaigns and will be informed on the importance and perspectives of professions in the field of the environment. 

Considering the threat caused by Covid-19 pandemic, the Environmental Information and Education Centre of the Ministry of Environmental Information and Education Centre remains to conduct educational activities remotely.
