Director of EIEC participated in the OSCE’s meeting

The Director of the Environmental Information and Education Centre Tamar Aladashvili participated in the Second Preparatory Meeting of the 28th OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum.

In the meeting, Tamar Aladashvili made a presentation and spoke about the importance of transparency and innovations in reacting to the environmental challenges and implementing an effective system of environmental governance. She also emphasized the free access to environmental information, environmental impact assessment and the importance of E-Systems of monitoring, waste management and air quality.

Besides, Tamar Alsadashvili discussed in details the environmental democracy – human rights and responsibilities as well as concrete actions and initiatives carried out to support green innovations of small and medium-sized enterprises.

In the meeting, the representatives of the OSCE members States, international and non-governmental organizations and experts participated.

The Second Preparatory Meeting of the 28th OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum was planned to held in Tirana, Albania. Considering the Covid-19 Pandemic, the meeting was held remotely.
