The 2021 training course of the program "School of Ecoliders" has been completed

The program "School of Ecoliders," developed by the Eiec of Georgia's Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, has finished its 2021 training course. Tamar Aladashvili, Director of the Eiec, presented diplomas to the students after the online lectures and cognitive tours.

The School of Ecoliders hosted two-month-long webinars. Staff from Georgia's Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, as well as invited specialists, gave lectures to the students. Twelve webinars were held as part of the initiative. Human environmental rights, waste management policies, the importance and protection mechanisms of protected areas and biodiversity, mitigation of natural hazards posed by climate change, and the role of environmental education and public relations in environmental protection were among the topics covered in the lectures. A cognitive trip was conducted in the protected area of Lagodekhi as part of the summary week of the training course.

The School of Ecoliders is a curriculum developed by the Eiec that aims to teach environmental issues to the younger generation and increase their awareness in this area. The project was implemented throughout the country. School students from ninth to twelfth grade took part in it. Participants were selected through a competition.

For students interested in environmental issues, the training program "School of Ecoliders," developed by the Eiec, will be held annually.
