Engagement of women into environmental protection and climate change

The LEPL Environmental Information and Education Center (EIEC) hosted a meeting in frames of the Global Water Partnership, which aimed at expanding engagement of women into the field of environmental protection and climate change, upon focusing on water resources. The meeting enjoyed presence of Azerbaijani and Turkmenistan delegation members, who professed an interest into learning more about the MEPA’s work. 

In the course of the meeting, representatives of the MEPA’s environmental and climate change department – Ms Nino Gokhelashvili, Ms Mariam Makarova, Ms Maia Javakhishvili briefed delegation members on their professional experience and also dwelled on incumbent challenges in Georgia. Also, attendees scrutinized water resource management, climate change and accessibility to information. The meeting was conducted as a Q&A session. 

Public hearings
