The Draft Law of Georgia on Industrial Emissions and draft laws deriving from it

We would like to inform you that the Ministry of Environmental  Protection and Agriculture of Georgia has developed a draft law on "Industrial Emissions" and draft laws based on it.

The draft law envisages "on the one hand, the Association Agreement between the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community and their member states, and on the other hand, the Association Agreement with Georgia." The draft law is based on Directive 2010/75/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of November 24, 2010 on industrial emissions and establishes a new legal regime for air, water and soil emissions from industrial activities, including a permit permit for integrated industrial activities causing pollution, control over the fulfilment of conditions, rights and responsibilities of state bodies and natural or legal persons, etc.

For the purpose of public information and discussion, the Ministry publishes the draft law of Georgia on Industrial Emissions and the draft laws deriving from it.

Comments and suggestions regarding the draft law can be submitted until December 15, 2021, by e-mail at Akaki.Veltauri@mepa.gov.ge
