Admission to Ecolider School begins

Admission to Ecolider School begins

If you are a student interested in environmental issues, frequently participate in environmental initiatives and events, or have a desire but so far have not been able to get involved in projects of interest to you, then you should definitely take advantage of this chance.

We are looking for enthusiastic, young people who are interested in environmental issues and who will attend the School of Ecoliders to expand their knowledge in critical areas of environmental protection. 

To participate in Ecolider School, you need:
to be a student in grades IX-XII.
to be interested in protecting the environment.
to be able to devote 4 hours a week to our meetings.
Internet access is required.
Participants will be selected based on applications and interviews.

Please keep in mind that Ecolider School 2022 will be administered remotely via the ZOOM platform every May and Friday at 4 p.m.

We promise interesting and interactive webinars. 

Within the school, participants will learn about environmental issues, as well as develop critical thinking, self-defence, and teamwork skills, and most importantly, make friends across the country.

Within the program, you will cover the following topics:

  • Where, when and why was the environmental movement-environmental protection and Georgia formed?
  • Environmental human rights
  • The significance of waste management, as well as current best practices
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • The importance of biodiversity and protection mechanisms
  • The importance of protected areas
  • Urban biodiversity and eco-activism
  • Birds and their role in the environment
  • The environment and gender
  • Climate change
  • Reducing the risks of climate-driven disasters in Georgia
  • The role of environmental education and public relations in environmental protection
  • Giving presentations

    A variety of approaches will be used in the teaching:

    ✅Discussions
    ✅Interesting guests
    ✅Field trips
    ✅Visits

    Upon completion of your studies, you will be awarded certificates and become a friend of the EIEC 

    ✅Please note that ecolider status will be granted only to participants who regularly attend lectures. Only 3 absences  will be considered honourable.
