An essay contest on the topic "The Role of Environmental Education in My Everyday Life" is being held

In celebration of Earth Day, the EIEC is announcing an essay contest on the topic: "The Role of Environmental Education in My Daily Life."

Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22 and draws millions of people from all around the world. Earth Day celebrations in 2022 will be centred on activities and actions that will help in the improvement of the environment and the creation of a sustainable future.

Environmental education is one of the most invaluable investments made by the EIEC for future generations, as it promotes an integrated understanding of environmental problems and contributes to the development of environmentally friendly behaviours and attitudes.

Conditions for participation in the contest "The Role of Environmental Education in My Daily Life":

Students in grades 9 through 12 from around Georgia who are interested in environmental issues, appreciate the value of environmental education, and are participating in the process of receiving or spreading environmental education are eligible to participate.

Evaluation criteria:
Relevance to the topic;
Knowledge of environmental issues;
The formation of one's own/original opinions, as well as one's own vision and opinions;

ability to express oneself succinctly
The text should be grammatically correct.
Other details related to the contest:
The paper must be submitted as a word file (font-Sylfaen, font size-11, spacing-1.15); 

The essay should include the author's name, surname, age, class, school name, town or village, mobile phone number, and email address.
Rules for submitting work:

The electronic version of the essay should be sent as a Word document to the following address: info@eiec.gov.ge. In the title field, it should be indicated "Essay Contest". The deadline for submission of papers is April 19.

A specifically formed commission will examine the writings based on predetermined criteria. The contest winners will be announced during the project's concluding event and will receive prizes.
