Training participants will receive detailed information about the activities to be carried out on the farm in accordance with the requirements of Georgian legislation.
Using the information obtained in practice, livestock cooperatives will be able to manage farms in accordance with modern requirements, which will have a positive impact on the quality and quantity of products produced.
The two-day training covers the following issues: major infectious and vector diseases of cattle, protection of the farm from animal diseases, non-communicable diseases, proper use of veterinary drugs, requirements for primary production, cow breeds, cow care, dry and fattening feed, and more.
Training for livestock and agricultural cooperatives the project is invested in harmless and quality livestock within SQIL in cooperation with the Cooperative Development Fund and organised by the Rural Development Agency and the EIEC.
This year, the project is planned to invest in safe and quality livestock - within the framework of SQIL, in Tbilisi and the regions, to conduct a total of 8 trainings and train more than 100 livestock farmers.
The SQIL project is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The project is implemented by the American organisation Land O'Lakes Venture 37 in partnership with the Georgian Farmers Association.
