A working meeting was held to support team members on the practical methods and models of environmental education as part of general education reform. The event was attended by Tamar Aladashvili, Director of the EIEC, and Berika Shukakidze, Head of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development.
"At a time when environmental education is one of the country's top priorities, it's critical to deliver it not just formally but also informally, to help develop the proper attitudes and motivation required to make informed decisions and act responsibly," Tamar Aladashvili said.
At the meeting, participants discussed practical techniques and models of environmental non-formal education. Participants also spoke about how to help with the development of general education reform and how to facilitate the development of specific initiatives for the integration of environmental initiatives.
Participants were given detailed information on the centre's programs for kids and teachers, as well as environmental non-formal education assistance. In accordance with general education reform, these efforts will assist them to develop and strengthen non-formal environmental education throughout Georgia.
The meeting was organised by CENN with the financial support of the Austrian Development Cooperation, in collaboration with the EIEC and the National Center for Teacher Professional Development.
