The EIEC of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia recognized and rewarded the winners of the final event of the essay contest "Environmental Education in My Daily Life." During the contest, the authors of the three best essays were revealed. Mzia Kapanadze, a pupil at Ani public school in the Akhaltsikhe district, took first place. The winners were presented with diplomas and presents by Solomon Pavliashvili, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
"The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia is working on a number of changes in the field of environmental protection, including the development of draft laws and the introduction of innovative approaches; however, each of us is well aware that our efforts will be futile unless we establish all of this through education." "Environmental contests considerably assist in developing awareness and enthusiasm among young people," Solomon Pavliashvili remarked.
The contest "Environmental education in my daily life" was open to all students of IX, X, XI, and XII grades who are interested in environmental issues and understand the importance of environmental education. Young people had the opportunity to share their own unique history and visions about the importance of environmental education.
