Within the framework of the program, the "Environmental and Agricultural Education at Schools" 2600 teachers were trained

The process of training primary school teachers and curriculum experts in order to integrate the Environmental and Agricultural Education in Schools programme into the school space began in 2021 and will continue actively this year. The EIEC of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia has already trained more than 2,600 primary school teachers.

Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Solomon Pavliashvili, and First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Tamar Makharashvili, met with trained teachers and handed over certificates and supporting textbooks to teachers—"Environmental and Agricultural Education at School".

"Developing a responsible society is a long process, with the correct management of the educational process as the key to success." Environmental and agricultural concerns are now being taught in Georgian schools, thanks to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture's effort. "Integrating these topics at the primary level and engaging kids in diverse activities will increase their interest in environmental and agrarian issues," Solomon Pavliashvili stated.

A support manual for teachers, "Environmental and Agricultural Education at School," was prepared at the EIEC The textbook covers important issues in environmental and agricultural education that are easily adapted for primary school students (grades I–VI). Young people learn about important issues like sustainable development, biodiversity protection, water resource protection, air pollution, climate change and natural hazard reduction, waste management, land management and desertification, sustainable agriculture, and urban planning through the program.
