"Write a letter to an influential person on why and how to take action on climate change," was the contest's theme this year. The contest's goal is to introduce the younger generation to the writing tradition as well as current challenges in the age of modern technology. The contest is open to teenagers aged 9 to 15.

In a letter to Georgia's Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Nikoloz Ghvania discussed the serious issues posed by climate change. The certificate was presented to Nikoloz Gvania by Tamar Aladashvili, Director of the EIEC.

"The most effective strategy is to begin talking about environmental issues with teenagers and to ensure that they are raised to be environmentally conscious citizens." With this year's topic, the contest accomplished exactly that. I'd want to emphasize how intriguing it was to learn about a variety of young people's perspectives on climate change challenges. "When we talk about climate change and solutions, we must remember that each of us can take effective efforts to halt it every day," Tamar Aladashvili remarked.

Lile Khoriashvili, a 7th-grade student at the Georgian Gymnasium of School # 24 in Rustavi, became the winner of the "International Postal Union" international letter-writing contest. His work will be sent to the World Postal Union and will be included in an international competition program, where winners from different countries will continue to compete internationally.

The International Post Union's Letter Writing Contest was organised by the Georgian Post with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia for the ninth time this year.
