Regarding the environmental impact assessment project and manual

According to the "Environmental Assessment Code", the National Environmental Agency is authorized to use the guidance document "On Environmental Impact Assessment" when making decisions.

The "Environmental Assessment Code" was produced in 2017 parallel with the creation of the guideline document, which was not entirely consistent with the final, approved version of the Code.

Based on the above, with the financial support of the European Union, within the "EU4Environment" project, the Ministry is requested to update the manual and bring it into compliance with the Code, as well as clarify or add a number of issues.

The written comments and opinions regarding the draught of the mentioned manual require submission in writing to the National Environmental Agency of the State Environmental Protection Agency by June 30, 2022, by e-mail. To the mail address: eia@mepa.gov.ge
