The Green Award contest for kindergarten teachers and methodologists is organised by the LEPL EIEC of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
Now in its second year, the EIEC's Green Award contest aims to promote preschool education and assist educators and practitioners who are actively using the textbook "preschool environmental education" and caring for children to learn about environmental issues. The EIEC established the abovementioned handbook in 2016 as part of the school preparation effort, and it has since been successfully implemented in all Georgia municipalities' pre-school institutions.
Unlike the 2018 "Green Award," which was limited to representatives from Tbilisi kindergartens, at this time, educators and Methodists from pre-school institutions from around Georgia were invited to participate in 2019.
"Green Award" is a two-stage contest. The applicants were chosen in the first round based on their applications, and a part of the second round was held in Kutaisi, when participants from the western areas presented their activities.
The contest winners will be announced in a formal event, where they will receive unique awards, and all finalist contestants will get certificates and souvenirs.
