The memorandum was signed by the director of EIEC Tamar Aladashvili and the director for the Caucasus Regional Center Sophiko Akhobadze.
The aim of the memorandum is to strengthen the cooperation between EIEC and REC in order to raise awareness regarding land resources and sustainable agricultural development.
The centre within its activities ensures the promotion of formal and informal education in the field of environmental and agriculture, for different targeted groups. It is a priority for us to popularise the deficient professions in the country, and implement environmental and agricultural issues in vocational and higher education institutions.
The memorandum will promote cooperation between the EIEC and the REC Caucasus with companies and sector associations operating in the fields of environmental protection, land resources, and sustainable agriculture in the process of training qualified labour resources, Tamar Aladashvili noted.
Due to the complexity of agricultural and environmental issues,it is very important to structurise relevant campaigns and to raise awareness of society. We are very pleased that the Regional Environmental Center for Caucasus (REC CAUCASUS) and the EIEC will actively work in this field and will implement interesting projects.
Within the memorandum, the parties will jointly work on the development and implementation of vocational programs in the fields of land resources and sustainable agriculture, as well as in terms of strengthening the capacities of educational institutions in the mentioned directions.
