The studies began at the EIEC Agroschool, the learning course was opened by the Deputy Director Ekaterine Bendeliani and Rural Development Agency Director Ilia Tamarashvili.
The aim of the course is to provide information to students interested in agricultural topics and to involve them in activities in the field of agriculture.
Students of classes IX-XII will learn about subjects such as agriculture development, farmers opportunities,existing programs in the field of agriculture, running of farmer agriculture and management,wine history and wine degustation, Georgian grape varieties and the history of finding and protecting wild grapes in Georgia, fruit growing,horticulture,gardening,Georgian traditional beekeeping, aquaculture and fisheries, veterinary medicine,and particularly dangerous infectious diseases of animals,livestock and poultry farming.soil science, desertification,overgrazing,food safety, climate smart agriculture, the role of education in agricultural sector and agrotourism.
The learning course will last two months. Along with theoretical training, field trips are also planned.The lectures will be conducted remotely through Zoom Platform by invited specialists and by the representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
