An international conference regarding the first national forest recording was held in Georgia

The international conference on the first national forest recording will be held this year in Georgia on November 3–4.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, with financial support from the Federal Republic of Germany, conducted the first national forest recording in 2019–2022, where the partner agencies also took part in the process. The data of forest national recording provides statistical information about forest conditions and is used to make political and strategic decisions in the sector.

The guests invited to the November 3 event will receive information about the first national forest recording, the final report and processed data, and the challenges and current activities in the forest sector.

The international experts invited to the November 4 event, together with local experts, will discuss the importance of forest national recording for sustainable forest management and will also discuss the role of forest national recording in the strategic decision-making process.
