The 2023 budget of the EIEC of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia was set at 1,790,000 million GEL, which increased by 18.6% over the revised budget of the current year.
The new budget envisages further strengthening public participation in the environmental decision-making process. As part of this function, the centre provides access to environmental information and facilitates public participation in environmental decision-making and project review.
Promotion of environmental and agrarian education and raising awareness remains the centre's most important directions.Next year, the Centre will develop a basic and secondary level manual of the "Environmental and Agricultural Education at School" program, within the framework of which students of grades 7–12 will be able to learn about important issues in environmental and agricultural education. Also, the process of training elementary school teachers will continue.
