Training sessions were held on the subjects of timber sorting, material loading and unloading, the use of fire apparatus, and first aid in order to improve the skills of the National Forestry Agency staff.
The pieces of training are organised by the EIEC of the project "Promotion of Sustainable and Climate-Smart Forest Management Practices in Georgia," which is funded by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Japanese government. In order to raise the level of awareness about energy efficiency, training were also conducted for the beneficiaries who own energy-efficient stoves, to whom the stoves were given within the framework of the mentioned project
The aim of the project is to reduce pressure on the forest and greenhouse gas emissions. The project will contribute to the beneficiaries' access to sustainable energy resources and improve their livelihoods.
