Certificates and prizes for the winning schools of the "Fresh Air-Let's Take Responsibility Together" contest

The contest of ideas was held  for schools in Rustavi, by the Eiec of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Government of Sweden.    "The fresh air-Let's take the responsibility together’’  

The aim of the contest was to raise awareness about the importance of air quality and encourage teachers and students to be involved in environmental school projects. Three Schools have been revealed as winners, and to support atmospheric air quality, they will conduct several events  till the end of the year on schools territory.

Rustavi teachers of the 7th, 9th, and 21st schools will support the establishment of eco-clubs, promote cycling, conduct air quality awareness surveys, and also organise student science picnics, open lessons regarding environmental issues, landscaping activities, and informational meetings about their care. 

The award ceremony was attended by the Eiec director Tamar Aladashvili, and   director of the national centre for teacher professional development  Berika Shukakidze, the Deputy Mayor of Rustavi Davit Ishkhneli, Natia Cvariani UNDP environmental coordinator and representative  of ‘’heidelbergcement’’
