A meeting of the Environmental Education Council was held

In order to improve the coordination of environmental education measures, another meeting of the Environmental Education Council was held. Tamar Aladashvili, director of the EIEC, opened the meeting of the Council and spoke about the research conducted on "Assessment of the level of environmental education and awareness at the national level". 

At the meeting, the representative of the Institute of Social Research and Analysis (ISSA) introduced the participants to the results and conclusions of the study "Assessment of the level of environmental education and awareness at the national level," carried out at the initiative of the centre.

The participants made presentations about the current and planned activities of their organisations, and in the final part, they developed an action plan for the Environmental Education Coordinating Council based on the results of the research and the information obtained from the presentations.

Implementation of the practice of cooperation between organisations and joint campaigns on related topics will allow for coverage of more target groups or areas.

Representatives of various non-governmental and public agencies took part in the meeting of the Council.

The working meeting was held within the framework of the ongoing project "Governance Reform Fund," with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Sweden.
