The topic of world meteorological day is ‘’ the future of climate and water is a youth issue," which underlines the importance of young people's role in the development of environmental activities.
On World Meteorological Day, students from N58 public school visited the national agency's meteorological radar; the event was organised by EIEC. Students also viewed the surveillance network, through which the daily forecast is prepared, distributed, and, if necessary, relevant recommendations are issued.
The students and subject-matter experts discussed the significance of the timely delivery of forecast information and warnings on potential natural events to relevant agencies during the meeting, and they also learned about the analysis of meteorological radar data available in the nation and typical geological hazards.
Since 1950, World Meteorological Day has been celebrated every year on March 23, and it is connected with the establishment of the World Meteorological Organization.
