‘’Earth Hour’’ is celebrated on March 25

Within the "Earth Hour" campaign of the world public environmental campaign, in Tbilisi, electricity was turned off for one hour in the buildings of historical and public organisations—the administration of the Government of Georgia, the Parliament of Georgia, the presidential palace, and ministries. The lights were turned off in Rikhe Park, on the Bridge of Peace, on the Narikala Fortress, on the monument of St. George on Freedom Square, in the buildings of Old Tbilisi, and on the Tbilisi TV tower.

The foundation of the global environmental campaign, "Earth Hour", was laid in 2007 by the initiative of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). In 2023, Earth Hour focuses on taking action on climate change to protect forests and ecosystems, as climate change is one of the biggest environmental challenges.
