The second round of the contest, the ‘’Green Award’’ of the Environmental Information and Education Centre (EIEC) is underway

At first, the participants selected based on statements will submit presentations about their activities to the special commission.

The 2023 contest for the "Green Award" welcomed participants from all throughout Georgia. 68 teachers and educators/methodologists were selected from the 200 participants to advance to the next round.

The winners of the "Green Award: Preschool Environmental Education 2023" and "Green Award: Environmental and Agricultural Education at School 2023" will be revealed at the award ceremony on June 5, on World Environment Day, and given special prizes. The United Nations General Assembly established World Environment Day in 1972.

The Centre for Environmental Information and Education (EIEC) established the "Green Award" contest in 2018. The contest aims to recognise and reward educators who actively use the textbooks "Environmental Education Before School" and "Environmental and Agricultural Education at School" in the educational process and care for the promotion of environmental and agricultural education in children. The guidelines are being successfully implemented across the country.
