The representatives of the agricultural vocational school were retrained

Representatives of the agricultural vocational school received training on "climate-smart agricultural practices".The training module addressed crucial topics including local and endemic varieties, their certification processes, the creation of biofertilizers, sustainable land management, restoration practices, etc. Following the theoretical course, there was field training, during which windbreaks and no-till plots were visited.

The purpose of the training is to promote the establishment of modern approaches in agriculture through agricultural education and awareness-raising, which are crucial for improving agriculture and reducing its negative impact on the environment.

Tamar Aladashvili, director of the EIEC, and Sofiko Akhobadze, director of the Caucasus Regional Environmental Center, addressed the participants at the meeting and talked about the importance of climate-smart agriculture.

The training was organised by EIEC within the Caucasus Regional Environmental Center (REC) project "Economic and environmental benefits through sustainable land management for vulnerable rural communities in Georgia".
