Within the framework of "Reducing the Risk of Climate Change Disasters in Georgia" for coaches

Within the framework of the project "Reducing the Risk of Climate-Driven Disasters in Georgia," an online training for coaches was held in order to integrate the guide developed for secondary schools into formal education.The meeting was based on the new school model and aimed to integrate disaster risk reduction with the involvement of civic geography and leadership coaches. The training was led by project expert Rusudan Tevzadze.

The meeting was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science. 

Trainers from the project's ten target municipalities (Gori, Lagodekhi, Telavi, Signagi, Akhmeta, Samtredia, Abasha, Senaki, Khobi, and Kobuleti) received training.

The Climate Change Disaster Risk Reduction Program in Georgia is funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Governments of Georgia and Sweden, and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The educational and awareness-raising components of the project are implemented by the Eiec of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
