The debates of the school eco clubs on climate change and waste management were held

Under the organisation of the Environmental Information and Education Centre of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, debates on environmental topics were held for school children.

Four schools were chosen from 50 various school eco clubs to participate in the contest on climate change and waste management as a result of the application screening process.

The winners were announced and granted prizes at the event as a result of the contest commission's evaluation. The waste management debate was won by the "Eco Generation" eco-club from Sachkhere 3 public school, and the climate change debate was won by the "Green Future '' eco-club from Tbilisi's 142nd public school.

The debate aims to increase young people's involvement with and awareness of environmental issues. Speakers discussed the importance of education and youth in environmental protection issues and the implementation of sustainable development goals in addition to identifying challenges and advancing opportunities in the current climate change and waste management processes.

School eco-club debates were held within the project "Governance Reform Fund" (GRF) with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Sweden.a
