The EIEC has been retrained by 600 preschool educators and methodists within the renewed program ‘’Preschool Environmental Education’’ in Kvemo Kartli and Mtskheta Mtianeti.
Solomon Pavliashvili, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia met with retrained preschool representatives and handed over certificates and manuals of ‘’Preschool Environmental Education’’ and other relevant resources.
The program's goal is to raise the awareness of kindergarten educators, methodists, and children of early age in the field of environmental education. Under the updated program, climate change issues have been added to the topics of biodiversity, water resources, and waste management.
The renewal of the preschool environmental education program and the training of educators/methodists were carried out with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Swedish government within the project Governance Reform Fund (GRF)".
