The learning process for the program ''Environmental Manager’’ has started

Ekaterine Bendeliani, the deputy director of the EIEC opened the training course of the training program "Environmental Manager" and spoke about the program.

"The program provides an opportunity for interested parties to study in depth the duties of an environmental manager according to the Waste Management Code. Also, the program helps companies or enterprises find and employ appropriate personnel who generate different types of waste and are obliged to develop and implement waste management plans", said Ekaterine Bendeliani.

The objective of the program is to train environmental managers who will implement the Waste Management Code and its obligations, inspection procedures, and law enforcement.

Participants will be able to renew and prepare the company's waste management plan, classify waste, work in a waste management electronic system, organize and manage the company's waste management, and implement self-monitoring and internal control of the company after completing the learning course. The program includes both academic and practical components, as well as a practical component to make reporting in the electronic waste system easier.

The duration of the program is 4 weeks, and upon successful completion, graduates will receive a certificate recognized by the state. The training course's attendees will hear lectures from invited experts and professionals from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.

The vocational training program of the EIEC of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, "Environmental Manager," was granted permission to use it in 2022.
