The learning process in Agroschool has finished

The current learning course within the training program project ‘’Agro school’’ developed by the EIEC has finished.

Solomon Pavliashvili, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia met with students at the summary meeting.

 ‘’ Young people are inspired by this school to pursue further education in agricultural subjects in the future. Young people have an amazing chance to learn crucial facts and details concerning agricultural challenges, we had a discussion with the students on current agricultural programs and themes that were relevant to agriculture and wine export.’’

After discussion, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia handed over certificates to the graduates.
The EIEC implemented "Agro School" for the promotion of agricultural professions, where students of IX–XII classes had the opportunity to get comprehensive information about agricultural fields and existing projects in the agricultural direction.

During two months, students were given lectures by representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture and invited specialists. Within the framework of the training program, young people studied the development of agriculture, the possibilities of farmers, existing programs in the direction of agriculture, management and management of farms, the history of wine and wine tasting, Georgian grape varieties and the history of finding and protecting wild grapes in Georgia, fruit growing, horticulture, market gardening, Georgian traditional beekeeping, aquaculture, and fisheries, veterinary medicine, and particularly dangerous infectious diseases of animals, livestock, and poultry, soil science, desertification and grazing, food safety, climate-smart agriculture, the role of education in the agricultural sector, and agrotourism.

After the online seminars, the young people visited the agencies of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture as part of the field trip. The students observed the work procedures at the "August" fruit factory, the "Mageme" greenhouse, and the "Caucasus Organic Fruits" fruit processing facility.

Students from all over the country could take part in "Agro School". The participants were selected based on the contest.

An educational program called "Agroschool" will be held every year for students interested in agricultural issues.
