Participant acceptance to "Forestry School" begins!

If you are interested in forestry, the forest management system, or forest biodiversity and you are an IX-XII grade student, then this program is for you!
We are looking for motivated, full-of-energy, and positive people interested in all the above-mentioned topics.
to take part in forestry school is required:
to be an IX-XII grade student;
to be interested in topics related to forests;
To spare 4 hours a week for us;
To have access to the internet;

please take into consideration that the forestry school classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday from 4; 00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. through the ZOOM platform. 

The participants will gain knowledge about forest-related concerns within the confines of the school, as well as the ability to think critically, defend their own positions, and work as a team. They will, most significantly, make friends from all across the nation.
you will gain knowledge about the following issues:

✅   the role of forest in sustainable development
✅   The forest types, the main sapwood species creating the forest, and natural hazards.
✅   the principles of forest sustainable management,
✅   The forest biodiversity
✅   Climate change and its influence on the forest, natural hazards
✅   Forest fires 
✅  energy efficiency, and alternative fuel as the possibility to reduce the pressure on the forest.
✅  Protected areas, ecotourism
✅  Mechanisms for law enforcement, monitoring, and deforestation accounting.
✅  The profession of a forester, forestry education, employment sectors. 
✅  media knowledge

A variety of approaches will be used in teaching, namely:
Discussion of real examples
✅ Games
✅ Discussions
✅ Interesting visitors
✅ Field trips
✅ Visits

After finishing the learning course, you will receive certificates and presents, and you will become friends with EIEC and have the opportunity to be actively involved in the centre's future activities.
Please note that the status of a student in the forestry school will be granted only to the participant who regularly attends the lectures. Only two absences will be counted as honorable.

The government partner of the project is the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, and the implementing partners of the project are the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the National Forestry Agency, the Department of Environmental Supervision, the Environmental Information and Education Centre, and the Rural Development Agency.
