The LEPL EIEC announces the ‘’Green Award’’ contest

The LEPL EIEC announces the ‘’Green Award’’ contest to identify the best educators/methodists and primary-level (grades 1-6) teachers throughout Georgia.
Any elementary school teacher and kindergarten educator/methodist who is currently employed in educational institutions teaches environmental and/or agricultural topics in the field of both formal and informal education and conducts activities from the relevant auxiliary manuals. "Agricultural Education at School" and "Pre-school Environmental Education".  can take part in the "Green Award" contest.
The objective of the contest is to increase the motivation of teachers to teach environmental and agricultural topics and to give them the opportunity to share their best experiences.

The deadline for receiving applications is March 20, 2024.
The winner will be announced on World Environment Day, June 5.
The contest will be held in two stages:

⮚ Stage I: selection of applications
⮚ stage II: presentation of implemented activities and projects

A special committee will select the top 10 based on the outcomes of the two stages, and the teacher and educator/methodologist who wins will get the "Green Award".
To take part in the contest, fill out the application form electronically (in Word format) and, if you wish, attach photo or video material of your activities (in one folder). The duration of the video should not exceed 10 minutes.
Contest materials should be sent electronically to the following e-mail address: education@eiec.gov.ge.
Please indicate "Green Award: Primary School Teachers" or "Green Award: Preschool Environmental Education" in the subject line of your email.

An online open day for educators and Methodists is planned to help spread the word about the contest and familiarise people with its features.
