Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Solomon Pavliashvili and Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Ruslan Abashidze awarded the winners of the student conference "Black Sea and Biodiversity". Students who were interested in the Black Sea's ecological state attended the meeting.
Caucasus International University student Revaz Berulava became the winner of the conference, followed in second place by Kesane Arshba from Sukhumi State University and Salome Kobaidze from Tbilisi State University.
The winners were given certificates, Bakur Sulakauri publishing house vouchers, and a Pharmadepot gift set.
The event was organized by the EIEC and the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia's Ministry of Finance and Economy with the goal of promoting environmental education among youth.
International Black Sea Protection Day has been celebrated in all countries of the Black Sea basin, including Georgia, since 1996.
