The educational process at the Agroschool of EIEC has started. The learning course will last two months.
The objective of the course is to provide students interested in agriculture with information about agricultural fields and to encourage them to be involved in activities related to agriculture.
Students in grades IX–XII will learn about such issues as agricultural development, farmer opportunities, existing programs in agriculture, farm management, and management, wine history and tasting, Georgian grape varieties and the history of finding and protecting wild grapes in Georgia, horticulture, Georgian traditional beekeeping, aquaculture and fisheries, veterinary medicine, and particularly dangerous infectious diseases of animals, livestock, and poultry, organic farming, animal science, desertification and overgrazing, food safety, climate-smart agriculture, the role of education in the agricultural sector, and agrotourism.
As part of the training course, together with theoretical training, field trips are planned. The lectures will be held remotely by representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture and invited specialists using the Zoom platform.
