Within the "Agro Scholarships" program, EIEC signed memoranda of cooperation with universities and professional educational institutions. The memoranda were signed by the EIEC director, Tamar Aladashvili, and the heads of educational institutions.
The goal of the memorandum is the active cooperation of agencies for the successful implementation of the "Agroscholarships" program. The "Agroscholarships" promote deficient professions in the agricultural field, encouraging excellent students with scholarships and internships in relevant agencies.
The event was attended by Solomon Pavliashvili, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia; Nodar Papukashvili, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia; Giorgi Nanobashvili, Head of the Economic Development Division of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP); Lela Mamrikishvili, Inclusive Economic Development Program Officer of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC); and Tamar Kitiashvili, General Director of Professional Skills Agency.
The EIEC of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, within the "Modernization of the Vocational Education System in Georgian Agriculture VET (Phase 3)" project of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), implements the "Agro scholarships" program. The program envisages the submission of successful students for agro scholarships by universities and professional educational institutions with bachelor's and master's degrees in agriculture.
