Within the course, 21 environmental managers have been trained. Tamar Aladashvili, the director of EIEC, handed over certificates to the graduates.
The participants have gained knowledge on preparing and renewing the plan for company waste management, waste classification, working in the electronic waste management system, establishing and organizing the company waste management plan, self-monitoring of the company, and inner control implementation.
The program's main goal is to train environmental managers who will carry out the Waste Management Code's requirements, inspection processes, and law enforcement.
The learning course covered both theoretical and practical components to encourage reporting provisions in the waste management system's electronic format.
The participants of the training course were given lectures by experts and invited specialists from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
