Within the program "Reducing the risk of climate-driven disasters in Georgia," EIEC in 13 target municipalities carries out awareness-raising activities for educational institutions to develop their capabilities. (Gori, Telavi, Akhmeta, Sighnaghi, Lagodekhi, Samtredia, Abasha, Senaki, Khobi, Kobuleti, Chokhatauri, Ozurgeti, and Lanchkhuti).
The training courses are being held for school and kindergarten representatives on "simulation exercises, organization, and conduct of a simulated alarm in organizations and institutions using rescue equipment." To effectively conduct simulation exercises, the institution must develop emergency management plans.
To this point, during the planning stage, EIEC identified institutions that have developed emergency management plans. Training courses are held in the 13 target municipalities of the project in educational institutions where emergency management plans have been developed.
Simulation exercises will help schools and preschools become more resilient to climate-driven disasters and learn in a safer environment.
