Results of recent studies on the condition of Georgia's floodplain forests, which were initiated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and carried out by partners, were addressed at the meeting
Karlo Amirgulashvili, head of the Department of Biodiversity and Forestry of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, stated that for the restoration and development of floodplain forests, the Ministry is beginning to develop a national plan for the maintenance and restoration of floodplain forests in Georgia and emphasized the significance of actively involving all interested parties in the process.
The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant agencies of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia the scientific field non governmental organisations and other stakeholders.
