A training was held on integrating gender into the country's climate policy

The training was given to representatives of state agencies, non-governmental organizations, and international organizations working in the field of climate change.

The training's objective was to increase participants' ability to advocate for environmental and climate change problems in initiatives that support women's economic empowerment. educating participants about the reasons gender issues remain a concern in the nation and with climate policy; developing the ability to incorporate gender in the NDC; adapting to and mitigating climate change through the Gender Action Plan; and providing specific suggestions so that the first biennial transparency report and the gender-sensitive fifth national report may be prepared.

The training is being held as part of the "Fifth National Communication and First Biennial Transparency Report (5NC/1BTR) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)" project, which is being carried out by the EIEC with assistance from the UNDP and the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
