In 2024, 91 trainings and lectures/seminars were organized by the EIEC.
The EIEC is actively continuing to raise public awareness of environmental and agricultural issues this year.
During Environment Protection Day week, informational seminars on the state of Georgian forests and the principles of sustainable management were held in the public schools of different municipalities. The students received information about the qualitative and quantitative indicators of the forests of Georgia, forest biodiversity, functions and importance of forests, consumption of natural resources, as well as the importance of forest protection functions, rules of behavior in the forest, and the forestry profession.
Also, trainings were held on disasters caused by climate change, where young people learned about the dangers, rules of behavior, and recommendations caused by climate change.
The seminars were conducted by specialists from the EIEC. Young people had the opportunity to get answers to questions that were interesting to them.
